Zannini Group

A family enterprise, with deep roots

Flaminio "Mino" Farnesi (Pisa, 1940–2015) — founder of Grafica Zannini in 1967, Cavaliere del Lavoro and passionate collector — had a dream: to create a group capable of gathering and celebrating everything he had built in his lifetime: art, culture, enterprise. He never had the time to see it through. Passing away in April 2015, he left that desire as his most precious legacy to his son Bruno Farnesi, who chose to honor it by making it a reality. Zannini Group — a holding company incorporated in the United States of America — is the fulfillment of Mino's dream: three distinct entities — Zannini Studio Arte, Zannini Immobiliare and Zannini Gemini — all united by the same commitment to quality, authenticity and lasting value.

Bruno Farnesi

Bruno Farnesi is the founder and managing director of Zannini Group — a project born from an act of filial love. His father Flaminio had always dreamed of creating a group that would gather and celebrate everything he had built in life: art, culture, enterprise. He never had the chance. Bruno chose to realize that dream for him, founding Zannini Group in the United States of America as a holding company capable of giving structure, continuity and a future to the entire family heritage.

In parallel, Bruno is the Founder and CEO of Pure Organica — an innovative company based in the United States operating across multiple development sectors. A venture that reflects the same entrepreneurial vision that has always guided the Farnesi family: quality, authenticity and long-term value creation.

Bruno's background is rooted in years of service in the Italian Navy and high-level security operations. This experience led him to serve for years as Military and Security Officer at the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Belgrade — a role held during the period when his father Flaminio served as Ambassador to Serbia of the same Order. A profound bond, built not only on family ties but also on shared institutional and diplomatic responsibility, that left an indelible mark on both of them.

Within Zannini Group, Bruno leads the activities of Zannini Gemini — the division dedicated to innovation and wellness — and coordinates the group's overall strategy. The collection of graphic artworks and rare books assembled over the years represents one of the most significant cultural assets of Zannini Studio Arte.

Flaminio "Mino" Farnesi

Flaminio Farnesi — known to everyone as Mino — is the founder of Grafica Zannini and the central figure around whom the entire story of the group revolves. Born in Pisa on June 19, 1940, he began his career at a young age at the Opera del Duomo and then as a Municipal Police officer for the City of Pisa. In 1967 he founded Grafica Zannini, which within a few years became one of Italy's leading producers of paperboard packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, with plants in Ospedaletto and Gello (Pontedera) and international branches in Ireland and Serbia.

For these achievements he was awarded the title of Cavaliere del Lavoro, Italy's highest honor for entrepreneurship. His ties to Serbia went beyond business: Flaminio Farnesi held the prestigious position of Ambassador to Serbia of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, a testament to the international recognition of his stature and his commitment to the values of service and civic responsibility that defined his life.

Alongside his entrepreneurial activities, Mino devoted decades to assembling an extraordinary collection of approximately twenty thousand pieces dedicated to Pisa and its history: antique books, prints, lithographs, paintings by Pisan masters such as Viviani, Carlini and Volpi, autographs of Garibaldi, engravings by Lasinio, medals, coins and a fully restored 17th-century Bible. A collection unique in the world for its breadth and specificity. This collection is today the heart of Zannini Studio Arte.

"Year after year, piece by piece, I put together a collection of about twenty thousand pieces, all dedicated to Pisa. I believe no one in Pisa has a collection as extensive and diverse as this, bearing witness to Pisa in art and history."
