The group's newest project

Flying light, with what the market already offers

ICARO was born in September 2026 as a Zannini Group project: an electric eVTOL with four coaxial rotor units and eight motors, a carbon monocoque airframe with a bubble cockpit, a ballistic parachute and dual navigation. Motors, batteries, controllers and autopilot are catalogue components from established suppliers, integrated on an airframe designed in Italy.

The aircraft falls within the ultralight category: single-seater up to 300 kg and two-seater up to 600 kg at take-off, with a target endurance of 15–20 minutes. It is an aircraft to fly, not a flying taxi.

The cabin is simple and luxurious: two side-by-side seats in quilted leather, five-point harnesses, one single display in front of the pilots and the parachute handle within reach.

The first to fly it will be the founder: Bruno Farnesi was a helicopter pilot in the Italian Navy.
